EASTON-----Marie R. (Carew) Dacey, 82, a resident of Easton for the past 57 years died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Albert P. Dacey Jr.

Born in Boston on April 3, 1929, a daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Norton) Carew, she was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School.

Marie was employed as a waitress for more than 40 years at McMenamy's Hamburger House in Easton. For the past 10 years Marie enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods every Tuesday and would travel by bus from Walmart in Brockton.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister she enjoyed Nascar Racing, bowling and trips to Vegas. Marie is survived by four children, Gail Dacey of Easton, Karen DuBois and her husband Tom of Easton, Paul "Chuck" Dacey and his wife Fran of Taunton, and Michael Dacey of Taunton; three sisters, Dorothy Bracken of West Yarmouth, Joan Clark of Springfield, VT., and Roberta Wohlgemuth of Hyde Park; a brother, Robert Carew of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Paul and Michelle Dacey of Bellingham and Mikala Dacey of Taunton; she was also the sister of the late Barbara Hammond.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
