Jeanne McCrorie of Easton, MA died on April 6 of pancreatic cancer. Jeanne was born in 1961 to Edward and Therese McCrorie. She grew up in Smithfield, R.I. with her three younger sisters, Julia, Joyce, and Cynthia. She married Mark McSweeney, her high school sweetheart, in 1985, and was a loving mother to their three children, Ellen, Molly and Daniel McSweeney. Jeanne was a beautiful singer and musician who graduated from Boston University and sang professionally in Boston for many years. In the last years of her life, she trained as a yoga teacher and became a beloved friend and mentor to many people. She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, humor, beauty, and for the tremendous grace and strength with which she faced her illness. She is survived by her loving husband Mark; daughter Ellen of Chicago; daughter Molly of Boston; son Daniel of Boston; mother Therese McCrorie of Wakefield, father Edward McCrorie of Newport; sister Julia Collins of Narragansett; sister Joyce Emery of Fort Thomas, KY; and sister Cynthia Petrides of Kennett Square, PA. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many loving and devoted friends. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28 at 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury Street, in Boston. All family and friends are warmly invited.
