EASTON----Dorothy M. (Black) Ross, 90, a resident of Easton for the past 42 years, died Saturday morning at home under the care of her family. She was the wife of the late Ralph S. Ross.

Born in Mount Vernon, Illinois on March 25, 1922, a daughter
of the late Andrew J. and Nellie M. (Wheeler) Black, she was
raised in Mount Vernon and was a graduate of Mount Vernon
Township High School.

Dorothy was employed in the Production Division of the
Shoe Industry and worked for International Shoe Corporation
in Mount Vernon for 40 years. She was later employed for
Knapp Shoe of Brockton.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling to other countries and various
islands around the world and also was fortunate to visit
every state in the Union. Her hobbies included both knitting
and crocheting.

She is survived by a sister, M. Helen Gill of Easton; two brothers,
Ray Black and Kenneth Black both of Mount Vernon, Illinois; 12
nieces and nephews, and several grand nieces, grand nephews
and cousins. She was also the sister of the late Ruth Dowdell.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting
hours in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington
Street, (Rte.138) Easton, on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to
11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at
11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
