EASTON------Bedros S. Dostoomian, 89, a resident of Easton for the past 55 years, died Friday at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Margaret E. (Kaderian) Dostoomian.

Born in South Boston on January 28, 1923, a son of the late Setrak and
Lousentak (Torosian) Dostoomian, he was raised in South Boston and was
a graduate of South Boston High School. After graduation he entered the
military during WWII and served in the US Navy.

Upon discharge he began working at the Boston Navy Yard as a Sheet
Metal worker, then in 1963 he was appointed Union Organizer for the Sheet
Metal Workers International Association Local 17 of Boston, until his retirement in 1987.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, he enjoyed traveling,
gardening, and trips to the casino. He also enjoyed talking with friends over
coffee at Dunkin Donuts on Rte. 138, Easton.

Bedros is survived by two daughters, Lucille D. Bombardiere and her husband Raymond of Massapequa Park, NY. and Denise Dale and her husband Larry of Middleboro; two brothers of Khacher Dostoomian of Stoughton and Ashod Dostoomian of Stoughton, 4 grandchildren, Clint Dale of Bridgewater, Jennifer Peebles of East Taunton, and Margo and Dina Bombardiere both of NY; 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Helen Arikian and Eva Kaynakian;

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in South Easton Cemetery, Easton.
