Powers, William "Billy", of Brockton,

passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of March 5th 2017, at the age of 78 years. Born and raised in Boston, Billy enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country as a medic. After an honorable discharge, he worked at various jobs.

For the first fifteen years, he was employed at Lampert's Beef and Bertolino Beef, both of Boston, cleaning the meat houses and as a meat cutter. He was also self-employed as a clam digger for some time until he acquired a position at his brother's company, Easton Concrete Cutting & Drilling, Easton, MA where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement.

Billy enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing and boating, and especially loved celebrating life in large family gatherings where he shared his renowned cooking, and by vacationing on Old Orchard Beach and the Belgrade Lakes Region in Maine. He will be remembered for his cooking talent, his sharp witted humor, his boisterous laughter, and most especially, his enormous heart.

Billy is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne M Powers, and was a loving father of six children, namely, John Powers, Susan (Clark) Powers, Robert Powers, Michael Powers, Dianne (Hardin) Powers, and Marnie Powers. He is the loving brother of the late Mary (Roos) Powers, Robert Powers, and Anthony "Butch" Powers.
