EASTON---Virginia M. (Costa) Donofrio, 99, of Easton, formerly of Carver passed away on March 23, 2022. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Donofrio.

Born in Boston, a daughter of the late John and Maria (Baronello) Costa, she was raised and educated in Roxbury.

Virginia lived in Dorchester for several years later settling in Carver where she resided for 35 years and was an active community member at Cranberry Village.

She enjoyed traveling and was an avid Red Sox fan whose hobbies included crocheting and reading. Mostly she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

Virginia is survived by two children, Ralph Donofrio and his wife Ann of Dedham and Mary Minton and her husband Mark of Easton; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Donofrio of Carver; a sister, Frances Sebestyen of FL.; three grandchildren, Christina Corina, Lisa Twomey and Anthony Donofrio; and 8 great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late John Donofrio and sister of the late Josephine Cascone, Lillian Sciarappa and Joseph Costa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. . In lieu of flowers donations in Virginia's memory may be sent to the American Heart Association 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA. 02451 or to the American Cancer Society 1324 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. 02301.
