EASTON----Stephen C. Watson (74), a lifelong resident of Easton passed away on February 7, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Joanne (Correia) Watson.

Born in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late John T. Watson and the late Lorraine M. (Porter) Watson. He graduated from Oliver Ames High School, class of 1965.

Stephen enlisted in the US Army in 1966. He served his country for a total of 3 years and completed a 1-year tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He was a proud US veteran.

Shortly after his return from overseas, Stephen married his highschool sweetheart, Joanne, on June 8, 1968. Together they have two children, Jennifer and Marc, who were the pride and joy of Stephen's life.

Stephen worked as a heavy equipment operator for Tilcon-Warren and PJ Keating for 43 years. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4. He summered at Parkwood Beach where he enjoyed swimming, boating and spending time with his family. His hobbies included snowmobiling, riding his motorcycles, and working on cars. He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

Stephen is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne, of 53 1/2 years; his daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Eric Herbert of Raynham; his son, Marc, and his fiancé Kristin Kelly, and her daughter Morgan of South Easton; his grandchildren Cassidy, Christopher, Corey and Lucas; his sister, Gail, and her husband Robert Beck; his brother, Gary, and his wife Lynn; and his brother, John, and his wife Anne; his loyal friend Dan McNeill. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who adored him. He was also the brother of the late Edward Watson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton.
