EASTON---Shirley (Reynolds) Varney, 93, a lifelong resident of Easton, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton. She was the wife of the late Donald Varney.

Born in Eastondale, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Melendy) Reynolds, she was raised in Eastondale and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School Class of 1943. She continued her education earning a certificate in Nursing.

Shirley worked for the Town of Easton as a cafeteria worker for the Easton Public Schools.

She was a member of the Eastondale Sewing Club and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and vacationing at her log cabin on Berry Pond in New Hampshire. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Shirley's family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center for the professional care provided to her.

Shirley is survived by three children, Charlene Tingley and her husband Lawrence of Easton, Pamela-Sue Yungk and her husband Daniel of Resnick, FL., and Mark Varney and his wife Nancy of West Bridgewater; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Alden Reynolds.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial visitation on Friday, July 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
