MEDFIELD---Sarah Ellen McCann, of Medfield, passed away peacefully on the first day of Spring, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at South East Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, Easton. She was 91. Sarah was born in Dalton in Furness, Lancashire, England, on June 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Isabella Graham and Charles O'Brien (McCann). Sarah dedicated her life to her family spending most of her adorning years as Nan (loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother). Living in Medfield for over 25 years up until last June.

Sarah was a Medfield resident for nearly twenty-years after moving to the States in 1968 with her sister, the late Kathleen Jones of Dedham, revived daughter, Frances Barber-Lang of Carver and granddaughter, Michelle Goldberg of Brockton. In her early years, Sarah enjoyed music and dancing, often telling stories about these formative years. Sarah enjoyed bingo, shopping at local markets, watching the soaps or a good show on the "telly", and engaging in the Holy Church of Christ and well as being a socialite at the Center of Medfield, dancing and singing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Sarah worked for Polaroid film in Canton as a manufacturer for for 20 years then retired and worked part time at Potpourri Group of Medfield for 10 years in the Distribution Center as a team lead for sales and marketing.

Sarah leaves behind her adoring daughter Frances Barber-Lang (McCann) grandchildren Michelle Goldberg (Day), Hayley Barber, great-grandchildren Matthew, Carly and Ryan Goldberg as well as their father Daniel Goldberg; sisters Rita Athersmith (McCann) Eileen Brown (McCann) and Brenda Courtney (McCann); nieces Mary Wallace, Marie Hale, Julie and Susan Courtney, Carole Athersmith and Nicola Parrington (Brown); and nephews Thomas Graham, Stephen and Jeff Brown, Ian Athersmith and Lee and Nathan Jones.

Family and friends will love and cherish Sarah McCann's strong will and good heart forever. Her memory will live on in all of us. A service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Canton Street, North Easton, MA 02356, on Friday, April 6th, at Noon . For directions or condolences please visit www.kanefuneralhome.com.
