MIDDLEBORO—-Ruth V. (Bolster) Ashley, 97, of Middleboro, formerly of West Bridgewater and Bridgewater, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Hannah B. G. Shaw Home For The Aged after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Roland Ashley.

Born in West Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Harold G. And Dorothy (Wallis) Bolster, she was raised and educated in West Bridgewater. She resided in West Bridgewater for 55 years before moving to Campton, NH. where she lived for 15 years until moving back and settling in Bridgewater.

Ruth was employed as a customer service representative for Sears Roebuck and Company of Brockton.

An avid cook she was devoted to her family and was also a personal caretaker.

Ruth is survived by a brother, Harold Bolster Jr. of Middleboro; a daughter-in-law Zelia Ashley of Bridgewater; and two grandchildren, Michael Ashley and Lisa Ashley. She was the mother of the late Ronald Ashley and Roland Ashley and sister of the late Roberta Thompson, Helen Ray, Jeanette Bolster, William Bolster and Wallis Bolster.
