Heart Emblem

EASTON----Russell J. Carlson, 30, a lifelong resident of Easton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 31, 2019. He was the loving and devoted son of Barton R. and Gail M. (Quattrucci) Carlson of Easton.

Born in Randolph on January 29, 1988, Russell was raised in Easton and was a 2006 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. He continued his education at Endicott College earning a Bachelors in Business Administration.

Russell worked in the information technology division at Boston Medical Center.

Russell had many interests. He loved jet-skiing, riding in his jeep, working out, attending concerts, and teaching his cousins karaoke and air guitar. He owned an actual guitar, but was far more proficient on air guitar. He was an avid sports fan, and was a member of the Dizzy Bat Hall of Fame.
His greatest pleasures were countless time spent with family and friends.

Russell was the thread that held his large family together. He lit up any room he walked into and had the unique quality of making a bad time good, and a good time, great. He never missed a family gathering, no matter how small. His loss leaves a hole that can never be filled.

In addition to his parents Bart and Gail, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and the best group of friends one could ever ask for.
Russell had no siblings, but his best friend James Bartlett was as close to a brother as one can get in this world. James and his wife, Tara shared many memorable moments with Russell over the years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Russell's memory may be sent to Massachusetts Suicide Prevention Program-Massachusetts Department of Public Health 250 Washington Street, 4th Floor Boston, MA 02108-4619.
