WATERTOWN---Rose Eileen (Freitas) Buck, 90, of Watertown and a native of North Easton, passed away on April 30, 2021. Rose and the late Ronald Buck were married for sixty years.

Rose was born in North Easton on January 14, 1931, to John and Rose (Conceison) Freitas. In 1949, she graduated from Oliver Ames High School in North Easton. She continued her education at Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse in 1952, and at Bridgewater State College, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 1982.

Rose created the community performing arts organization Center Stage in Easton. She served as an administrative nurse for Old Colony Elder Services in Brockton, where she expanded programs that allowed the frail and elderly to remain safely in their own homes. Her many pursuits included sailing, skiing, writing, oil painting, knitting, reading, and the Red Sox.

Rose is survived by her children: Gregory Buck, Christopher Buck, Cynthia Buck Huyffer, Stephen Buck, Janine Martinelli, Jacquelyn Rose, Benjamin Buck, Bernadette Buck, and Alexander Buck; her brother Joseph Freitas; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many adoring extended family members. She was predeceased by her son Laurence, her husband Ronald, and her siblings Manuel Freitas, John Freitas, Peter Freitas, Philomena Dovico, Mary Nolan, and Louis Freitas.
