EASTON----Robert Edward Smith of Easton age 68 entered into rest July 11, 2018 after a brief illness with his family by his side. He was born on July 25, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island to Ellen (Smith) and Herbert Smith. He was raised in Millis, MA, attended local schools, and graduated from Millis High School. He went on to receive a B.S. degree from Curry College in 1972. Bob began his career in banking and continued working in finance until his retirement. He was a resident of Easton for over thirty years. Bob will be remembered for his great sense of humor, love of classic rock, but most of all for his devotion to his family.

Bob was the loving husband of Karen (Marden) and devoted father of Elizabeth Abril and her husband Andrew of Lakeville, and Alexandra Smith of Easton. He is also survived by his sister Patricia and her husband William DesRoches of Putnam, CT and his brother Herbert Smith of Marietta, Georgia. In addition, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street, Easton on Wednesday July 18th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory may be made to the American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org.
