MANSFIELD—-Robert Emerson Niles, 77, of Mansfield, formerly of Easton, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Emoke I. (Petry) Niles for 55 years.

Born in Boston, a son of the late Arthur C. and Mary (Anderson) Niles Jr., he was raised in Braintree and was a graduate of Braintree High School. He continued his education at Quincy College where he received an Associates degree in Business with High Honors. He furthered his education at Boston University earning a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Babson College where he earned a Master's degree in Business Administration with distinction.

Robert was an adjunct professor teaching marketing at Stonehill College in Easton for 10 years and later became a licensed insurance agent and was employed with Boston Insurance Center.

His hobbies included tennis, chess and playing the guitar. He was devoted to his family.

In addition to his wife Emoke, he is survived by three children, David Niles of Bridgewater, Claudia Morris of North Dighton and Christopher Niles of Mansfield; a brother, Richard Niles of NH.; a sister, Carol Hooker of NH; and one grandchild, Adam Morris of North Dighton.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced at the Easton Baptist Church, 197 Bay Road, Easton. Arrangements are by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Easton.
