Patriotic Emblem

EASTON—-Richard W. "Dick" Johnson, Sr., 83, a resident of North Easton for the past 58 years, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Alfonso) Johnson for 58 years.

Born in Brockton, a son of the late John and Dorothy (Eamon) Johnson, he was raised and educated in Brockton. A veteran of the Korean War he served as a corporal in the US Army and was honorably discharged.

Dick was self-employed and was the proprietor of North End Automotive Machine Shop of North Easton for 35 years. An antique car collector he was a member of the Wheels of Time, The Beach Buggy Club and the Vega Club of Brockton.

An avid collector of kerosene lamps, he enjoyed going/having yard sales and his hobbies included boating, fishing and camping. He spent many summers with his family at his home in West Wareham.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by a son, Richard W. Johnson II and his wife Kelly of Middleboro; a daughter, Jayne Lynch and her husband David of Fairhaven; two brothers, John "Buddy" Johnson of Duxbury and Bruce Johnson of Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Michael Lynch of West Wareham, Richard Johnson III of Middleboro, Amy Lynch of East Taunton and Hannah Johnson of Middleboro

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
