EASTON----Priscilla M. (Miller) Hayward, 82, a lifelong resident of Easton, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Bertram A. Hayward.

Born June 29, 1936 in Rockland, a daughter of the late Ivar and Anna Gertrude (Jacobson) she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. She continued her educational studies at Bridgewater State College earning a Bachelors in Education.

Priscilla was employed by the Town of Easton as a schoolteacher for over 30 years teaching 5th grade and kindergarten at the Center School, Moreau Hall and Furnace Village School where many friendships were made and treasured. She was a member of the National Teachers Association and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.

Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her family and was her grandsons' number one fan traveling to their hockey, soccer and baseball games. She traveled world-wide with family and friends. Priscilla cherished the holidays and instilled her Swedish heritage and loved collecting Christmas ornaments and collectables. Other notable hobbies included quilting, basket weaving, painting and sewing.

Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Lisa S. Douthart and her husband Robert M. of Bedford, NH.; two grandchildren, Ryan Douthart and Andrew Douthart both of Bedford, NH.; and a brother, Roland Miller, sister-in-law, Sherer and their son Rob of Englewood, FL. She was pre-deceased by her cousin Roy Frendberg.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 from 10:00-1130 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in South Easton Cemetery, Easton.
