EASTON—-Persis (Athas) Garniss, 89 of Easton, formerly of Taunton, passed away on February 28, 2018 at the Residence at 5 Corners in N. Easton. She died of natural causes peacefully and happy.

She was accompanied by her dear friend and caregiver Paula Bobbitt by her side. She was the wife of the late Stanley Garniss of Taunton MA. She was the daughter of the late George Athas and the late Clara Athas( Briggs ).

She leaves behind an older sister Athena Athas 90 of Raynham, She loved to sing in the church choir growing up. She had a passion for the Theatre Organ Music. She was a lifetime member of the ATOS in Easton. She took yearly trips to St Louis Mo. to attend their conventions.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Memorial Luncheon at the Residence of 5 Corners, 678 Depot Street, North Easton will follow from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. all are welcome to attend the service in Pernis's memory.
