BROCKTON----Noreen (Grant) MacDonald, 69, a resident
of Brockton for the past 22 years, died Tuesday
evening at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital
after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the
Norman J. MacDonald.

Born in Greenock, Scotland, a daughter of the late
Archibald and Hannah (Maguire) Grant, she was raised
and educated in Greenock, Scotland and came to the
US as a young lady in her early 20’s. She lived in Quincy
for several years prior to moving to Brockton.

Noreen was employed as a home health aid and was
employed by Old Colony Elder Services. She was a
longtime member of the Scottish American club.
Noreen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and taking long
walks in the park with her dog Millie.

She is survived by a sister, Mary McFarlane of Scotland;
and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was also
the sister of the late Archibald Grant, Arthur Grant, Frank
Grant, and John Grant.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend
a memorial gathering on Friday, September 17, 2010 in
Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington
Street (Rte.138) Easton from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by
a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in
