EASTON—-Nancy M. (French) Hallett, 89, a resident of Easton for the past 66 years, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph Hallett.

Born in Methuen, a daughter of the late Raymond and Betsy (Adams) French, she was raised and educated in Methuen and East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School.

Nancy was employed as a bookkeeper for Jordan Marsh in Boston for many years. Later she worked as a cashier at Shaw's Supermarket in Brockton.

Nancy was a member of the PM Lady's Club of Brockton and enjoyed traveling on cruises and golfing with her lady friends.

Nancy's hobbies included knitting, crocheting, ceramics, needlework and playing cards.

Nancy is survived by her children, David Hallett of Toledo, OH., Dorothy Cummings and her husband Merl of Easton and Gail Casey and her husband Jed of Easton; a sister, Phyllis Gage of Easton; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Linda Hallett and sister of the late Grace Daniels, Arthur French and Clifford French.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton.
