North Easton – Nancy L. ( Bowman ) Holmander, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in North Easton. She was the loving wife of Carl B. Holmander.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William H. Bowman IV and Mary (Ryan) Bowman.

Nancy graduated from Medfield High School and then attended three years education at Chandler School for Women, in which during this period of time her father suffered a heart attack, leaving her studies to run her father's printing business, located in the Town of Medfield.

Nancy was employed for many years at Arrow Business Forms in Medfield as a graphic arts designer and proofreader.

She attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Norfolk and later became a member of the Easton Baptist Church becoming the church's first secretary, a charter member and one of the first deaconess of the church. She served as Youth Advisor for the church in its early years, including young people retreats, youth and family camps. Nancy was also involved in the John DeBrine's Youth time, a Saturday night rally for teens in downtown Boston; was active in the drum and bugle corps, 4-H clubs, and advisor students putting together school newspaper at Walpole High School.

A people person. Nancy had a ministry in listening to people and in her later years, her husband and Nancy traveled in their RV van traveling the East Coast.

Southern gospel music was her passion as evidenced by the hundreds of cd's she listened to until her passing, as well as proofreading all the stories posted about historical properties in Easton.

Besides her Husband Carl, Nancy was the loving and proud mother of Keith B. Holmander of North Easton, who she was able to see him working through Massasoit Community College, graduating from Stonehill College and working at Stonehill's Technology Support Group.

By request of her family, Nancy funeral will be held privately.
