EASTON—-Michael J. Shaw Jr., 37, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at home.

Born in Stoughton, a son of Michael J. And Susan (Anufrom) Shaw of Easton, he was raised in Easton and was a 1999 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. He continued his education at Westfield State College earning a bachelors degree in computer science.

Michael was employed as a carpenter in the construction industry and also worked as a bartender at Great Woods in Mansfield for a number of years.

An avid sports fan he appreciated basketball, soccer and attending live concerts shows.

Michael enjoyed vacationing when he was young at Eagle Lake in Maine and also the beaches of Cape Cod. He also cherished spending time with family and friends and special times with his nephew, Cooper.

In addition to his parents Michael and Susan, he is survived by a sister, Danielle Shaw and her wife Jessica Cable of Arlington; a nephew, Cooper Shaw of Arlington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Michael's memory may be sent to Highpoint Treatment Center, 30 Meadowbrook Road, Brockton, MA. 02301.
