TAUNTON——Michael J. Leone, 48, of Taunton, formerly of Plainville, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at home.

Born in Weymouth, a son of Patricia (Hegarty) Leone of Taunton and the late George Leone, he was raised in Taunton and was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School.

Michael was employed as a machinist and worked for Monarch Machine Corporation of North Attleboro.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid cook.

In addition to his mother Patricia, he is survived by four children ,Anthony Leone of Bridgewater, Alexander Leone of Easton, Nicholas Leone of Georgia and Ashley Leone of Plainville; his siblings, Patricia deSousa of Taunton, Isabel Dokter of Ohio, Georgina Leone of Maine and Rose Leone of Ohio; three grandchildren, Ava, Allison, and Enzo; his former wife Lisa (Peavey); and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in Michael's memory may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517
