Patriotic Emblem

RAYNHAM——Michael J. Healey, 65, of Raynham, formerly of Easton, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Barbara M. (Garneau) Healey for 36 years and were to celebrate their wedding anniversary January 26.

Born in Brockton, a son of the late Daniel T. and Ruth I. (Olson) Healey, he was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. A veteran of the US Army he served during the Vietnam War as a Private First Class.

Upon honorable discharge Michael began working for JD Mullen Construction Company of Easton until 1981. After, he took a position with the Town of Easton as a custodian for the Easton Public Schools. He retired in November as head custodian at Oliver Ames High School after 35 years of service.

Outgoing and a loyal friend to many, Michael enjoyed watching high school sports, dancing and camping at Oxbow Campground in Deering, NH. during the summers. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.

A resident of Raynham for the past 25 years, Michael was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was committed to his family.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by four children, Daniel Healey and his wife Miranda of Lakeville, Kevin Healey and his wife Amy of East Taunton, Sean Healey of Mashpee and Kaitlin Healey of Taunton; a brother, Thomas Healey and his wife Sheila of East Bridgewater; a sister, Patricia "Cusha" Fuller and her husband Bob of Groveland; three grandchildren, Hayden, Adrian, and Rhylie; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Paul Healey and Jack Healey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton.
