TAUNTON----Melissa K. (Ivanoski) Harrison, 34, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2016 at the Castle Hospital in Kailua, Hawaii after a courageous life long battle with a chronic pancreatic disorder.

Melissa was born and raised in Easton Massachusetts. She resided in Taunton Massachusetts with her beloved husband, Alexander Harrison of 11 years. After attending Easton public schools, Melissa graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst having studied Political Science and English for four passionate years. She later went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law. After passing the bar with great determination, Melissa achieved her life long goal of becoming a lawyer. Melissa was a scholar with a fervor for learning.

Over the course of Melissa's life, she enjoyed spending time with the ones she loved most-her family and her friends. When Melissa was not immersed in a new book, learning everything she possibly could or running errands around town you might find her chasing her pup, McCoy, around the neighborhood. Melissa loved to spend weekends away with her parents in their camper at various places around New England. She enjoyed spending time with each of her siblings- always routing them on in each of their own personal endeavors with unwavering support. Melissa could often be found at various farmers markets and local shops with her husband, Alex on most weekends. She always had a passion for food. Melissa was most happy when enjoying the company of her husband and her family- especially her nieces and nephews who she cherished and loved with all of her heart.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Alexander Harrison of Taunton, MA. Her parents, Paul and Kristina Ivanoski of Easton, MA. Her three brothers Paul and his wife Sarah Ivanoski of Uxbridge, MA, Chris and his wife Anne Ivanoski of Kapolei, Hawaii and Stephen Ivanoski of Portsmouth NH as well as her sister, Jessica Ivanoski of North Andover MA. Her mother and father in law Ulysses and Louise Harrison and her sister in law Taylor Harrison of Easton, MA. Melissa is also survived by 6 loving nieces and nephews and her grandparents Paul and Susan Ivanoski of Bourne, MA and Reverend Alan and Nancy Grant of Taunton, MA.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visitation hours on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home
