BRAINTREE—-Maxine A. (Goldstein) Papkin, 71, of Braintree, formerly of Brockton, died Friday, February 9, 2018 at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Arthur L. Papkin for 26 years.

Born in Chelsea, a daughter of the late Abraham and Ida (Michelson) Goldstein, she was raised in Mattapan and was a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School.

A homemaker devoted to family, she lived in Brockton for 40 years prior to moving to Braintree.

Maxine enjoyed needlepointing and amateur artistic coloring.

In addition to her husband Arthur, she is survived by a son, Jim Meister of Assonet; two step-daughters, Fern Mancuso of Braintree and Heather Ansin of Methuen; a sister, Judy Kenney of Boca Raton, FL.; and seven grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Stacey Lannan.
