SOUTH EASTON – Marianne J. (Berry) Powers, age 87, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on May 27, 2021.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Annie (Joyce) Berry. She was raised in South Boston and was a graduate of Archbishop Cushing Central High School for Girls.

She was employed with the former BayBank for twenty-seven years as an Assets Manager, formerly being employed at their Avon branch.

Marianne was resident of South Easton for the last fifty-four years. A founding member of the Holy Cross Church in Easton, and a faithful member, she volunteered her time and faith to all parishioners.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Brodeur and her husband Maurice of Middleboro, Stephen J. Shores and his wife Patricia of Stoughton, Dennis A. Shores and his late husband Paul Sullivan of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Jayne M. Powers of South Easton. Marianne was predeceased by her daughter Joyce A. Shores. Also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Sister of the late John Berry, Margaret O'Ginski and Miles J. Berry. Also survived by a special cousin, Cathy Daglas of Valencia, California.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton on Thursday, June 3rd at 9 am. followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton at 10 am. Interment will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Easton. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd from 4 to 7 pm.
