EASTON——Laura J. (Oskinis) Williams, 87, of Easton, formerly of Westwood, died Sunday,
November 5, 2017 at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a long illness. She was the wife of Arthur E. Williams of 61 years.

Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Mathew J. and Laura F. (Goldie) Oskinis, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of St. Gregory High School. She continued her education at Emanuel College in Boston earning a bachelors degree in education.

From 1951-1958 she taught first grade at The Williams School in Chelsea and from 1987-1995 she was a second grade teacher at St. Anthony's School in Allston.

A communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Easton, she lived in Westwood for 28 years before moving to Easton in 2000.

Laura enjoyed spending numerous summers at her home in East Falmouth and was an avid sailor. Devoted to family her true passion was being actively involved with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Arthur, she is survived by three children, Laura W. Kelley and her husband John of Easton, Arthur E. "Skip" Williams Jr. and his wife Susan of Chelmsford, and Kristen W. Gula and her husband John of Easton; and seven grandchildren, Katherine Williams of Clinton, Caroline Kelley of Charlotte, NC., Eric Williams of Chelmsford, Haley Gula of Easton, Jacob Gula of Easton, Janelle Hussey of Rockland and Jared Kelley of Medford.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte. 138) Easton, on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Laura's memory may be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA. 02284-9168 or to Old Colony Hospice 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA. 02379
