Mr. Keith J. Kruse, formerly of Mansfield MA, died on Friday, March 30, 2018. Keith passed peacefully at Sawtelle Hospice House with two of his daughters present. He was 84 (born December 19, 1933) at the time of his death.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Keith grew up in Indiana, Missouri, and New York before moving to Massachusetts for the later part of his life. He was a graduate of Stonehill College and had a long career in retail, which was his passion as well as his work. He retired 3 years ago at the age of 81 from the Wheaton College Bookstore where he worked for 25 years.

Keith woke up every day excited about what the day would bring. He proudly remembered his time serving his country in Korea and was a devoted father. His unconditional love and support will be sorely missed.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert James Kruse and Dorothy (Oliger) Kruse, and his brother Father Robert J. Kruse. Keith is survived by his children, Kathy Murray of Billerica, Massachusetts, Casey Kruse of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Valerie Scott of Blandon, Pennsylvania and Roberta Fordham of Leesburg, Virginia. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Michelle (Brokaw) McDougall, Christine Palovchik and Veronica Murray, and his grandsons, Michael Brokaw, Anthony Palovchik, Nicholas Palovchik, Austen Kruse, Ryan Kruse and Keith Murray.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday (April 2, 2018) at the Chapel of Mary at Stonehill College, Easton. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in North Easton. Kane Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in support of The Robert And Dorothy (Oliger) Kruse Scholarship Fund at Stonehill College online at stonehill.edu/giving/ (select Other Scholarship and enter fund name).
