EASTON------Kathleen F. Cardarella, 82, a longtime resident of Easton for the past 55 years, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010, surrounded by
her husband Francis and her children.

Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late John
JoAnna (McDonough) Conneilly. She was a 1945 graduate of Somerville
High School and a 1948 graduate of the Lawrence Memorial School of
Nursing, receiving her State Registered Nurse (RN) Certification.

She entered nursing through the WWII Cadet Nursing Program.
Mrs. Cardarella was employed as an RN at Medford, Winchester and
Brockton Hospitals. She was a school nurse with the Easton Public
School System and Southeastern Regional Technical High School
for 16 years, retiring in 1991.

Since childhood, she was a summer resident of Lewis Island on Long
Pond in Lakeville. The island was her favorite places as she was
Surrounded by her parents, brothers, and cousins as a child, and later
with her husband, children, and many nieces and nephews.

Since 1992 she was a winter resident of Coral Point, Harbourside
Island, St. Pete Beach, FL. The Cardarella family would like to
acknowledge the Visiting Nurse Association of Norwell.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Francis I. Cardarella of
Easton; two sons, Lawrence Cardarella of Lakeville and Richard
Cardarella and his wife Jane of Wrentham; her daughter, Kathleen
Cardarella-Kelley and her husband Patrick Kelley of Easton; her
grandchildren, Brian Cardarella of South Boston, Christopher and Lauren
Cardarella of Boca Raton, FL., Sister of Kenneth Conneilly and his wife
Lorraine of Plymouth, and the late John Conneilly; Sister-in-law of Mary
Conneilly of Arlington; also survived by many nieces, nephews and many
longtime devoted friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from
Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138)
Easton, on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate
Conception Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visiting hours on
Monday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Kathleen’s memory may be sent to
