June H. (Hartwell) Brousseau, age 87, of North Easton, passed away peacefully at the Alliance Health At West Acres in Brockton on April 23, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Henry S. Brousseau.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Jennie Mae Hartwell. June was raised in West Boylston, MA and Franklin, NH and was a graduate of Franklin, NH High School and graduated from Clark University with a bachelors in English and education. June later attended Bridgewater State College to pursue her masters degree.

June was a employed as a special needs teacher for the public school system in Sharon for over 20 years.

She was a founding member of Easton League of Women's Voters and the governor appointee and elected member of the Easton Housing Authority for 30 years. June volunteered her time with My Brother's Keeper and involved with the Brockton Area Multi Services Inc.

June was an avid bingo player and Red Sox fan. She shared her knitting skills with prayer shawls for Massachusetts General Hospital Cardiac Unit and hats and beanies to friends, family, and the students of Bridgewater State University. She also enjoyed playing the saxophone and piano and equestrian riding.

She has resided in Easton since 1961.

June is survived by her children, Paul Brousseau, Joanna Elsmore of East Bridgewater, Jane Doherty of Taunton and John Brousseau of Easton; her sister, Barbara Simpson of Lunenburg. She is also survived by her 5 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington St (Rte 138) Easton on Thursday, April 28th at 12:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Randolph. A period of visitation will be held prior to her services on Thursday from 10:00 - 12:00 pm.
