EASTON----EASTON—-Joseph T. Techiera, 94, a longtime resident of Easton, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the VA Healthcare System in Brockton. He was the husband of Aldina F. (DeMello) Techiera for 68 years.

Born in Mansfield, a son of the late John G. and Mary Techiera, he was raised and educated in Stoughton. A veteran of the US Navy where he was a barber and was honorably discharged.

Joseph was employed as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter's Union. Joseph built his own home and loved to travel the world with his wife.

A communicant of the Holy Cross Church, he served as an usher and was a volunteer at my Brother's Keeper in Easton and an honorary member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife Aldina, he is survived by his children, Lory A. DeLillo and her longtime companion Donald Foster of Everett, Joseph J. Techiera of Easton and Alan D. Techiera and his wife Tracey J. Of Mansfield grandfather of Ryan Techiera of Medford, Bria Techiera of Mansfield, and William Techiera of Mansfield; also survived by many nieces and nephews. predeceased by 9 siblings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph's memory may be sent to the Easton Lions Club, PO Box 1032, Easton, MA. 02334
