BRIDGEWATER----John J. Beatty, 69, of Bridgewater, formerly of North Easton, passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2021 under the care of his family. He was the husband of Rose A. (Niccoli) Beatty for 47 years whom he met in high school.

Born in Brockton, a son of Edward T. and Phyllis D. (Collette) Beatty, he was raised in Brockton and was a 1970 graduate of Brockton High School.

After high school, John served for three years as a Specialist in the US Army. Upon returning, he began his working career in the electronics division at the Foxboro Company. After, he took a position as Building Superintendent at Northeastern University in Boston for 25 years.

After retirement, he worked part-time as a custodian for the Easton Public Schools.

An active coach for many years with Easton Youth Baseball, he was also active with the Oliver Ames Grid Iron Club. Additionally, John served as a religious educator at the immaculate Conception Church in Easton for several years.

From an early age as a Boy Scout, John enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time doing yard work and refinishing furniture. An avid dog admirer, he loved taking his dog Tucker on walks.

In addition to his wife Rose, he is survived by three children, Eric J. Beatty and his wife Brittany of Richmond, VA., Mark J. Beatty and his wife Brandi of Richmond, VA., and Nicole K. Falcon and her husband Greg of Easton; a brother, Edward Beatty of Cumberland, RI.; a sister, Collette Carlson of Brockton; seven grandchildren, Ella, Karsin, Lilly, Trip, Cole, Cooper, and Drew; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
