Heart Emblem

Jody A. (Scagnoli) Micherone, 65, of Mansfield, passed away at home unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2018.

Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Scagnoli and the late Gertrude Helen (Kelley) Scagnoli, both of Boston. She was predeceased by three of her siblings: Walter H. "Junie" Scagnoli, Jr. of Boston, Catherine R. Riley of Easton, and Brenda L. "Bobbie" Scagnoli of Boston.

Jody moved to Easton thirty-four years ago to raise her daughter, Katie, prior to moving to Mansfield three years ago. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Brookline and studied at Quincy College. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at Epoch Senior Health Care in Sharon and Norton. She loved working with elderly patients and their families and was a wonderful caregiver to those with Alzheimer's Disease and other illnesses. She later went on to do administrative work for Epoch.

Most recently, Jody lived a quiet life at home where she loved listening to music, watching The Voice, reading poetry and lyrics, cheering on the Patriots and Celtics, and spending time with the loves of her life - her two dogs, Petey and Molly.

Jody is survived by her daughter, Katie R. Micherone of Mansfield, her friend and partner, Raymond D. Arnold, Jr. of Mansfield, her sister, Jean Everson of Edgewater, Florida and three nephews.

Donations in Jody's name can be made to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts at 1300 W Elm St Ext. Brockton, MA, 02301. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
