OCALA, FL.——Joaquim B. "Jack" Pereira, of Ocala, FL., formerly of Easton, died March 8, 2018 at the Legacy House in Ocala FL after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Joyce Anne (Scully) Pereira for 56 years.

Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late Joaquim B. And Marie (Azevedo) Pereira, he was raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School.

Jack began his working career as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
A resident of Easton for over 30 years before moving to Ocala, FL., he worked for the Town of Easton as a heavy equipment operator for the Easton DPW.

Jack enjoyed working on cars, traveling, camping, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by four children, John Pereira and his wife Lycia of East Taunton, Jeffrey Pereira and his wife Kelly of Norton, Joanne McLeod and her husband Greg of Plymouth and Jennifer Hall of Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Marie Lanzillo.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Noon in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, South Easton. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's memory may be sent to the Legacy House, 9505 SW 110th St., Ocala, FL. 34481.
