MIDDLEBORO—-Joanne (Harvey) Taylor, 87, of Middleboro, formerly of Easton, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at home. She was the wife of the late Everett Buckman and Frederick Taylor.

Born in Easton, a daughter of the late Clifford and Alice (Berry) Harvey, she was raised in Easton and was a 1948 graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

A homemaker when her children were young, she later went to work as a bookkeeper for the Foxboro Company and later for North Easton Machine Company.

A talented seamstress, Joanne took great pleasure in creating wardrobes for dolls of all sizes including her granddaughters. In addition, she built numerous dollhouses for her grandchildren.

An avid reader, Joanne loved visiting the coast of Maine during summers and her hobby included refurbishing antique linens for many years.

Joanne is survived by her children, Deborah Johnson of Carver, Kenneth Taylor of Stoughton, Charles Taylor of Berkley and James Taylor and his wife Paula of Easton; two brothers, Hank Harvey of California and Paul Harvey of Ashley Falls, MA.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was also the grandmother of the late Benjamin James Taylor.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment will follow in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton. Visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.In lieu of flowers donations in Joanne's memory may be sent to Middleboro Council on Aging, 558 Plymouth Street, Middleboro, MA. 02346
