Easton—Jeanne V. (Cole) Silva, 87, of Easton, passed away on August 24, 2021 at The Good Samaritan Hospital after a short illness. She was a resident of Easton for over 65 years.

Jeanne was born in Sharon on July 2, 1934 to Anna M. (Feeley) Cole and Joseph Cole. She was raised in Sharon and was a graduate of Sharon High School. Jeanne enjoyed playing golf at Pine Oaks Golf Club where she had two hole in one's. In addition to Jeanne's passion for golf, she loved to dine out at Corfinio Restaurant, Fridays at the hairdresser and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Shopping for clothes, campfires and watching wildlife in the backyard were just a few of her favorite pastimes. Jeanne and Lou spent most of their retired life camping at Bourne Scenic Park and spending the cold New England winters in Naples, FL. Nobody could bake pumpkin bread or an apple pie like Jeanne. More than anything, Jeanne adored time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis G. Silva, four children; Louis Silva, of Easton, Diane Silva, of Easton, Patricia Allen Lornell, of Sandwich and Susan J. Peterson of Sagamore as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her two sisters, Helen Roberge and Barbara Holmes. Also predeceased by her son-in-law Carl Peterson.

A funeral Mass for Jeanne will be held on Monday, August 30, at 11a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton followed by interment at South Easton Cemetery. For directions or condolences visit
