EASTON——James M. Macrina, 52, a lifelong resident of Easton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton.
 
Born in Stoughton, a son of Joseph M. Macrina Sr. and the late Mary P.  (Meade) Macrina, he was raised in Easton and was an active participant at the The Brockton Area Arc for the last twenty years. James was a communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Easton for many years.
 
James was an avid pro wrestling fan who participated with Special Olympics in Whitman and Easton playing soccer, swimming and basketball. He was a huge part of the Easton Youth Soccer and Baseball communities always cheering on the kids.

He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
 
James is survived by his father, Joseph Macrina, Sr., and his companion, Marilyn Sikorski, of Taunton, his brother, Joseph M. Macrina Jr. and his wife Tammy of Easton; his cousin, Robert Meade and his wife Jodi and their children, Jake, Nick, and Jessie who cared for James these last 5 years; and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.  He was also the brother of the late Joanne (Macrina) Zaher and her husband, Mederick "Bill" Zaher of Tyngsboro.
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton.  Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-5 p.m in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations in James' memory may be sent to Whitman Hanson Special Olympics payable to SOMA, 897 Washington Street, Whitman, MA. 02382 For directions or condolences visit www.kanefuneralhome.com
