WAREHAM---James F. Antosca, 80, of Wareham, MA, died on May 3rd after a short illness. Jim was born in Mansfield to Frank and Rose Antosca, and was president of the 1956 class of Coyle Cassidy High School. He studied physics on a football scholarship at Boston College, then founded Antosca Construction Company in 1959. Jim built many custom homes and commercial projects, and developed real estate. He also enjoyed business ventures that included The What Not Village and Pizzeria Angelina.

Jim was a proud father of six children, grandfather of nine and great grandfather of three. He enjoyed fishing, clamming, cheating at Monopoly and cooking until the kitchen was unrecognizable. He also enjoyed his time spent in Florida during the winter months. He was creative and curious, read widely, and shared a lifelong love of learning with his loved ones.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Rose, and his sister, Angelina.

He is survived by his fiancé Angela Didier, his sister Marguerite Antosca of Bonita Springs, his brother Francis Antosca and spouse Deborah of Savannah, and his children Linda Neily, Karen Ingram, James M. Antosca, Pamela Podvin, John Antosca and Dorothy Hunt. He will be lovingly remembered by many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.
