Heart Emblem

RAYNHAM-----Jacqueline Ann (Lane) Shepherd, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Feb. 11 at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham after a fall at her home in Raynham four days earlier.

Jackie was the wife of the late Alan E. Shepherd, and together they enjoyed many years of fun times spent with family, relatives and a wonderful group of close friends, travelling and just being with each other. Her cooking was a delight for all, from big holiday gatherings to her fabulous apple pies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, birthday cakes and whoopie pies. Everybody loved her and she will be greatly missed.

Born and raised in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Alden L. and Marjorie H. (Heath) Lane. She met her husband when he was serving in the Marine Corps and she worked for an airline in Washington, DC. They married and moved back to Massachusetts to raise a family. They lived for many years in Brockton before moving to Easton and then to Raynham. She worked in the admitting office at the former Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton.

Jacqueline was the mother of Stephen Shepherd of Scituate, Nancy Dugan of Taunton, and the late Robert Shepherd; she was the sister of the late Alden "Bud" Lane, Jan Booth, Marilyn Tucker and Priscilla Hayward; she is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and was the grandmother of the late Joseph Dugan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Easton. For condolences visit www.kanefuneralhome.com
