BRIDGEWATER——Irene (Gora) Arkuszewski, 91, a resident of Bridgewater for the past 25 years, died Tuesday March 24, 2015 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Jan Arkuszewski.
Born in Poland on May 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Josef and Hulda Gora, she was raised and educated in Poland. She came to the US with her husband at the age of 30. She was a resident of Brockton for several years prior to moving to Bridgewater.
Irene was employed as an assembler for the Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater for 15 years. She enjoyed knitting and was devoted to her family.
Irene is survived by four children, Alexandra Given of Taylor, Texas, Richard Arkuszewski and his wife Susan of Easton, Alina Condon and her husband Robert of Kingston, and Krystyna Skrinyaz of Pembroke; and five grandchildren, James, Kate, Robert, Janyce and Kate. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
