Heart Emblem

EASTON----Georgina T. Dickinson of Easton went home to her Lord and Savior on December 1, 2017. She was 25 hours shy of her 90th birthday. Georgina was lovingly cared for by her daughter Anne-Marie Meninno who stayed by her side during her last days. "Mom D", as she was known to many, was born in Brockton, MA. on December 3, 1927 to George and Mary Anne (MacDonald) Chapman. She was a graduate of Brockton High School. She married the love of her life Clayton D. Dickinson on November 30, 1946. Following the sudden death of her oldest child, the family moved to Easton, where she resided for the remainder of her life.

Georgina worked as a telephone operator for the Bell System in Brockton. Later, she worked at Franafin's Gift Shop in Easton, and at the Dorn-Davies Center in Brockton.

Georgina was a person who loved life, her family, and her friends. Her greatest love was for her Lord, and she spent much of her life devoted to church, prayer, reading the Bible, and Bible studies. She was a member of Easton Baptist Church. Prior to that, she attended Holy Cross Church in Easton, the Chapel of Our Savior, and the Foursquare Church, both in Brockton. She was a part of various women's groups and Bible studies as well as a member of the Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship. She relied heavily on her faith as she mourned the passing of her husband and three of her sons. Her testimony was one full of overcoming hardship and tragedy by the grace and mercy of God. She was known to many as a "prayer warrior." Among her gifts was inspired poetry, which she blessed many people with.

Georgina is survived by her children David Dickinson and his wife Celeste of Powell, TN., and Anne-Marie Meninno and her husband Frank of Easton, whom she made her home with. She is survived by eight grandchildren: Daniel Dickinson, Amy Charette, Michael Dickinson, Lauren Wolfe, Justin Meninno, John Matthew Dickinson, Dominic Meninno, and Anthony Meninno. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Blake and Lucas Charette, and Matthew and Christopher Meninno. Georgina is survived by one sister, Beverly Dentch, and was predeceased by her husband Clayton, sons John, Richard, and Mark Dickinson, and brothers and sisters Herbert Chapman, Beatrice Vivieros, Francis Chapman, Marion Dentch, Richard Chapman, and Leah Barbara Johnson. She is also survived by a large extended family of nieces and nephews, and special friends.

At the request of family, all services are private. If you would like to honor Georgina's memory, the family requests that donations be sent to Easton Baptist Church, 197 Bay Road, North Easton, MA 02356.
