EASTON—-Georgina M. (Chisholm) Leland, 94, of Easton, formerly of Ossipee, NH. and Wolfboro, NH., died peacefully on October 3, 2017. She was the wife of the late James A. Leland.

Born in Boston, a daughter of the late James and Jennie (McKinley) Chisholm, she was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. A veteran of WWII, she served in the US Navy Wave.

Upon honorable discharge she worked in the clerical division of the banking industry and was employed by Shawmut Bank of Boston.

Georgina lived in Ossipee, NH. for many years before moving to Wolfboro, NH and later Easton. She was awarded Citizen of the year in 2000 by the Town of Ossipee serving as Grand Marshall of the parade in 2000.

She was an active volunteer and communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Easton and was dedicated to making prayer shawl's at the church for those in need.

A caregiver for many by driving them to appointments when needed she was also an active volunteer at nursing homes. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.

Georgina is survived by her children, Robert R. Leland and his wife Anne of Hingham, Mary K. Nardone and her husband Chris of Carver, James F. Leland of Falmouth, Joseph P. Leland and his wife Debra of Kingston, John E. Leland and his wife Linda, Donna J. Martensen and her husband Bob of CA., and Michael M. Leland and his companion Gail of Framingham; also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late
Barbara Leland and sister of the late William Chisholm and Douglas Chisholm.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton, at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will follow. Interment will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Grant Hill Cemetery, Ossipee, NH. In lieu of flowers donations in Georgina's memory may be sent to Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
