HINGHAM——Georgianna G. ( Bentis) LaRosee, 93, of Hingham, formerly of Easton, Dracut and Boston, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Albert E. LaRosee of Hingham for 64 years.

Born in Lowell, a daughter of the late Anthony and Eva (Paplisiaos) Bentis, she was raised in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School. A veteran of WWII, she served as a Private First Class in the US Army Air Corp. Upon honorable discharge she enrolled at Northeastern University where she received her bachelors degree and continued her education at Simmons College School of Library Science where she earned a Master Degree.

She began working as a librarian for Stonehill College in Easton and later as a librarian for the Town of Milton.

She is survived by her husband Albert. She was the sister of Sophie Bentis, James Bentis, Charles Bentis and Catherine Bentis.

Interment with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at a later date.
