MANSFIELD---Frank Balakovich, 73, a resident of Mansfield for 28 years, passed away on January 4, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Michelle (Bouzan) Balakovich.

Born in Cambridge, a son of the late Frank and Elsie (Nelke) Balakovich, he was raised and educated in Malden. A veteran of the US Army he served as SP5 in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.

Frank worked as a systems technician for AT & T for 30 years. A member of the Easton VFW, he enjoyed the company of his friends of the VFW. His hobbies included cruises and traveling to visit various parts of the US.

In addition to his wife Michelle he is survived by two children, Stacy Balakovich of Peabody and Frank Balakovich of Weymouth; he was the brother of the late Douglas Balakovich.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service with military honors on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 12:45 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Frank's memory may be sent to Joslin Diabetes Association, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA. 02115.

Family and friends are invited to the VFW, 61 Rockland Street, Easton for a celebration of Frank's life following interment.
