EASTON——Francis W. WIlliams Jr., 91, a resident of Easton for the past 56 years, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the husband of Marilyn R. (Sevey) Williams and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on May 31st.

Born in Brockton, a son of the late Francis W. and Bertha (Holt) Williams, he was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. A veteran of WWII, he served in the US Navy as a Yeoman, Second Class.

Upon honorable discharge, Francis began working as a salesman in the auto parts industry and continued in sales for various companies and industries. In 1990 he founded Francis Williams & Associates of Easton which he operated until his passing.

A master electrician, he was a former member of the Board of Directors for the Bank of Easton, Past President of the Society Mechanical Engineers, a life member of the Easton Lions Club and a member of the Paul Revere Lodge AF & AM of Brockton.

Francis was an avid boater who enjoyed deep sea fishing and visiting Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Island.

In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by two children, Jayne Lewis of Kissimmee, FL., and Kenneth Williams of Taunton; a brother, Richard Williams of Ripley, Maine; two grandchildren, Laurie Karle and her husband Lawrence of Norwell and Amy Ellen Williams of Brockton; and three great grandchildren, Madeline, Ryan and Archie. He was also the grandfather of the late Shelley Fergurson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Friday at 10:15 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 p.m. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Francis' memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA. 01701.
