EASTON—Francis I. Cardarella, 91, a resident of Easton for the past 62 years passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday July 12, 2018.

Beloved Husband of the late Kathleen F. (Conneilly) Cardarella for 61 years. Born in Hammonton NJ. The son of the late Frank and Palma (Longo) Cardarella. Raised and educated in Somerville, MA. He enlisted and served as Corporal in the US Marine Corp., attached to a Fighter air wing as an aircraft electrical technician. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and attended Northeastern University.

He was employed for 20 years' with the Friden Division of Singer Co. in Technical Sales moving into management as East Coast Marketing Manager for major contracts. In 1971 he established Time Data Inc. of Newton, MA as President, developing a dealer network throughout New England for time related systems. After selling the company he continued to be active in the industry with the formation of Lark Associates a consulting proprietorship.

Since the late 1940's, he was a summer resident of Lewis Island on Long Pond in Lakeville, MA. The Island was a favorite place surrounded by family and allowed him time for his love of sailing his beloved aqua cat in the Sunday races on the pond. He was a winter resident of St. Pete Beach FL. since 1992

He was a 40 year member of the Aircraft owner and pilot Association and held his private pilot certification. He was an active pilot for many years for both business and personal travel.

He is survived by his two sons, Lawrence Cardarella of Lakeville and Richard Cardarella and his wife Jane of Wrentham. His daughter Kathleen Cardarella-Kelley and husband Patrick Kelley of North Easton. His grandchildren, Brian Cardarella and his wife Stephanie of Hingham; Christopher Cardarella and Lauren Cardarella of Boca Raton, FL. his great grandson Thomas Cardarella of Hingham and sister-in-law Lorraine Conneilly of Plymouth; also survived by many nieces, nephews and many devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Association 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA. 02452 or to the Salvation Army Massachusetts Division 25 Shawmut Road, Canton, MA. 02021

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday from 3-6 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Graveside services at the Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne will be held at a later date
