NORTON——-Ernest S. Tasho, 84, a resident of Norton for the past 45 years, passed away, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Burt) Tasho.

Born in Providence, RI. a son of the late Eva (Riley) Tasho, he was raised in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of Boston English High School. A veteran of the Korean War he served in the US Air Force.

Upon honorable discharge he received an associates degree in business administration.

Ernest was employed as an inspector for the MBTA Orange Line in Boston for 26 years. An avid Boston Sports fan, the Bruins and Red Sox were his favorite teams.

He was a past baseball and hockey coach for the Town of Norton. He loved spending time in his garden and enjoying the sun in the yard and the winters in Florida.

In addition to his wife Barbara he is survived by his children Ernest K. Tasho and his fiancé Rachael of Norton, Theresa A. Tasho of Attleboro, and Kenneth R. Tasho of Providence ; a sister, Mary Mahony of Westwood; a sister-in-law, Sandra McKenna of Mansfield and Naples, Fl.,; and a grandson, Noah Bridgestock of NY, NY. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Carole Suprin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Ernest's memory may be sent to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA. 02284-9168.
