Heart Emblem

EASTON----Dr. Michael Randon, known fondly as Mike, Chuck, Doc, Dad, or Jiddi to those who knew and loved him, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the age of 85. He was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, to Harry Randon and Anna Randon Habeeb in 1932. After serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, he then graduated from medical school at Dalhousie University in Halifax and completed his residency before moving to Easton, Massachusetts in 1960 to begin his medical practice with his wife Marion and four sons.

During his lifelong career spanning almost 60 years, he became a very prominent and successful member of the community, known to many as a passionate and caring doctor to his patients, and a leader and mentor to his colleagues. He contributed to many charitable causes throughout his life including Catholic Charities which provides assistance to many local families. Aside from his devotion to and love of medicine, he also enjoyed golfing with his cronies at Thorny Lea, spending time with his family, winning at the casino and caring for his many pets. He never took life too seriously and appreciated all the beauty and humor that life had to offer.

He is survived by his loving family, Paul, Bruce and Lauran, Marty, Stephen and his wife Patricia Randon as well as his grandchildren and their fiancés, Courtney Randon and Kevin and Melissa Randon and Joe Gordon. He was a loving brother to Betty Tate, Marilyn Calhoun, Danny Randon, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren who all reside in Canada.

He will always be remembered as a man with charm, quick wit, a loving heart, a generous spirit, and an entertainer to all. Services will be held at the Kane Funeral Home at 605 Washington St. (Rte.138) Easton on Wednesday, February 28th from 4:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Charites of Brockton and Saint Theresa Maronite Church in Dr. Randon's memory.
