EASTON---Dolores M. (Josselyn) Ryan, 78, a resident of Easton for the past 46 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Brockton Hospital. She was the devoted loving wife of the late James D. Ryan for 53 years.

Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Ella (MacDonald) Josselyn, she was raised in Hyde Park and was a 1959 graduate of Hyde Park High School.

Dolores began her working career at Boston Edison where she met her late husband Jim. She left the workforce when she married to devote herself to raising her children. She later reentered the workforce where she was an administrative assistant in various fields including medical.

A communicant of Holy Cross Church in Easton, she loved to bake and cook for all her family and friends and made a special gesture of always having their favorite dishes made. She enjoyed going to all her grandchildren's sports activities and musicals. Dolores' greatest pleasure was her love and admiration for her children, grandchildren and family;

Dolores is survived by her children, James P. Ryan and his wife Darby of Bridgewater, Christopher S. Ryan and his wife Deborah of Burlington and Karyn A. Ryan of Easton; her grandchildren, Shane P. Ryan of South Boston, Caitlyn J. Ryan of Burlington, Kelsey E. Ryan of Burlington, Mathew C. Ryan of Burlington. Hunter J. Stiles-Ryan of Bridgewater and Kyle P. Stiles-Ryan of Bridgewater; a sister-in-law Dianna Ryan; and two cousins, Phyllis Trabucco and Maryann Smith; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will follow. Visting hours on Sunday 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Dolores' memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1324 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. 02301.
