Patriotic Emblem

EASTON—-Dana W. Coombs, 75, a resident of Easton for the past 41 years, died Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was the husband of Paulette C. (LeBlanc) Coombs for 49 years.

Born in Brunswick, Maine, a son of the late Harvey B. and Margaret (Cahill) Coombs, he was raised and educated in Brunswick, ME. A veteran of the US Army, he served as an SP4 during the Vietnam War.

Upon honorable discharge he began working and became a member of Glazier Union Local 1044. Dana was a longtime member of the Easton Lions Club and enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Harpswell, Maine.

In addition to his wife Paulette, he is survived by two children, Dana J. Coombs and his wife, Constance, of Harleysville, PA., and Diane M. Spinale and her husband David of Milton; his siblings, Gloria LaMonica of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Helen Vigliotta of Lynn, Betty Nelson of Maine, Robert Coombs of Maine, Judy Iler of Maine, Shirley LaRabbe of Maine and Mona LaCasse of Daytona Beach, FL.; four grandchildren, Anna Spinale, Amelia Spinale, Madeline Coombs and Elisabeth Coombs; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Keith Coombs, Richard Coombs, Winfield Coombs, Jackie Skelton, Joyce Pulsifer and Georgia White.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Military honors will follow. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be held in the spring in New Meadow Cemetery, Brunswick, Maine. For directions or condolences visit www.kanefuneralhome.com
